The cruising season in Asia is year-round, with international cruise ships visiting on their world cruise leg from October through to April.

Asian Cruise Passenger magazine lists a Comprehensive Cruise Calendar in each issue. The major ports of call in Asia-Pacific include: Penang's Port Swettenham (Pen), Kuala Lumpur's Port Klang (PKL), Singapore's Cruise Centre (SCC), Thailand's Laem Chabang (Bkk) and Phuket, Hong Kong's Ocean Terminal (HK), Indonesia's Semarang and Bali, major cities in Australia and New Zealand plus the islands in the South Pacific. There are already about 20 ships confirmed to visit this region in 2002. Here's a look at some of them:

Princess Cruises, part of P&O Princess Cruises plc, began in 1965 with only one ship cruising to Mexico.
