Our cruise
adventures began in 1998 when we published Asian Cruise
Passenger. GoCruiseAsia.com (now rebranded to GoCruiseAsia.org) kicked off as the online edition
of Asian Cruise Passenger magazine. We realise that
in order to reach more cruisers, we need an online e-magazine.

Message from GoCruiseAsia.org Founder
Welcome to a whole new, old world of travel! Cruising is not so new after all. We could say, early beginnings of cruising began in the 1830s, when Arthur Andersen and Brodie Wilcox founded the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company (P&O), and Samuel Cunard founded a transatlantic mail service around the same time. The cruise passengers of that time were limited to aristocrats and socialites in the mid 1800s - early 1900s. Then in the early 1900s, cruise liners carried hundreds of thousands of emigrants to realise their dreams in lands afar. Many of whom were in the cramped lower decks whilst the upper decks were reserved only for those who could afford it. Today, passenger cruise lines allow all passengers equal access to all public areas and there are packages to suit every type of holiday-maker.Cruising Offers Oceans of Fun!
The all-inclusive cruise holiday usually works out much more affordable than
traditional land based vacations. It allows you to plan
and budget ahead. More singles, families,
couples, newly-weds, honeymooners, and groups of friends are
cruising away to destinations near and afar from Alaska, South
America to Halong Bay in Vietnam and Tahiti. And there's too many
souvenirs to buy!
Cruise fares normally include all meals and in-between snacks plus onboard activities, parties and entertainment. What's not included are the port charges, holiday or seasonal surcharges, tips (mostly for international cruises, Star Cruises is tip free), shore excursions, special concerts or celebrity bands onboard. Just to be sure, consult to your travel agent.
Why cruise Asia? The distance between ports in Asia are no more than a day or three. So most ships offer a new destination a day. Once at port, you could join an optional shore excursion or walk about on your own.
A cruise ship is a floating resort, with impeccable service, fine dining and all that you would expect from a resort. Some ships now offer exclusive dining onboard where cruisers will be happy to pay a little more for finer dining.
Many cruisers I know return with new friends and memories to be cherished for a lifetime. I find that cruising allows you the flexibility to spend your days and nights at your own pace. And for those who prefer a little more, the cruise staff are always at it, showing off their talents in producing live entertainment and other leisurely programmes - even for kids!
As more people are holidaying at sea, cruise companies have a multitude of cruise vacation packages to offer; from three to seven day itineraries.
Cruisers can also consider fly-cruise packages. With such
competitve packages around, it's not surprising that, once
you get a taste of cruising, you'll be back onboard for more. Cruising
is surely addictive!
Well, I shall leave you on that note while you do your research.
See you on the high seas!
