MISSION STATEMENT: GoCruiseAsia.org aspires to promote cruise travel, destinations in Asia and to be a one-stop resource for cruise holiday information.
WHY A CRUISE E-ZINE BASED IN ASIA? The concept of cruising is still fairly new in Asia. Though only a niche market in Asia, those who have already discovered the excitement of sea vacations are returning year after year for more cruise experiences. We strongly believe that there is a demand for cruise and travel information in Asia and especially, about Asian ports of call. Thus, the idea was mooted to provide this fast expanding industry with an independently published, cruise-specific publication catering to cruise passengers living in Asia and to travellers with interest in cruising to the Asian region.
WHO SHOULD ADVERTISE? GoCruiseAsia.org provides the
information to help convert dreams into reality. Our friendly editorial features ship reviews, ports of call and all the things you can get up to onboard. Readers can keep updated on the latest cruise packages, the hottest cruise destinations and decide for themselves when, how and with whom they will cruise.
It is an enjoyable read, written for most everyone in the household or office. Its targeted reach to potential and intending cruise passengers give advertisers (eg. travel agents, hotels, airlines and premium lifestyle brands) the opportunity to showcase their products/services and recommend holiday extensions pre & post cruising.

MEDIA RELEASE: MALAYSIA'S MAIDEN CRUISE TRAVEL FAIR ORGANISED BY
ASIAN CRUISE PASSENGER
Kuala Lumpur, June 2001: Malaysia's maiden Cruise Travel Fair in Penang on 30 June, 2001! The Cruise Travel Fair organised by Mobius Media, publisher of Asian Cruise Passenger (ACP) magazine. The event
was a concentrated effort to roof cruise travel agents and their represented cruise lines so that consumers have a chance to browse and talk to cruise agents about cruise and fly/cruise products. The one-day Cruise Travel Fair at the grandly refurbished E&O Hotel, Penang
was officiated by YAB Tan Seri Dr Koh Tsu Koon, The Chief Minister of Penang and open to the public from 5-9pm on Saturday, 30 June 2001.
"Asian Cruise Passenger magazine is a unique product in the cruise industry. Coupled with a website, GoCruiseAsia.com, our objective is to educate the Asian consumer about cruise products and raise awareness about the cruise holiday experience via the media and travel fairs like this one. We are enthusiastic about the growth of the cruise industry in Asia and intend to assist travel agents to further promote cruising as an alternative vacation. A plus point for our exhibitors is that the Cruise Travel Fair will create more branding for their represented cruise line companies," states Jasmine Low, Publisher of ACP. "In addition, consumers from the northern region of Peninsular Malaysia will have an opportunity to attend the first ever Cruise Travel Fair in the country. Penang was chosen as our location due to its popularity as an old-time favourite historic port-of-call. Penang's allure stems from a rich maritime history,"
Today's consumer wants to be better informed on the travel choices available to them. This fair will deliver those consumers to the suppliers. All consumers will be provided with copies of Asian Cruise Passenger magazine which include listings of cruise travel agencies who will be happy to assist in cruise bookings. At the fair, consumers can expect to view video footages, photographs and collect brochures and programs for 2001/2002. Represented at the fair
were: Radisson Seven Seas Cruises, Renaissance Cruises, Carnival Cruises, Viking River Cruises, Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises, Princess Cruises, Star Cruises, Norwegian Cruise Lines and more!
Reported recently in an overseas cruise trade magazine is that cruise ships which visited Asian waters in 2000 had the capacity to carry up to 1.9 million cruise passengers! Thus cruising is simply another means of tapping into the inbound tourist market to Asia.
